Chelsea’s postgraduate research investigated the impact of body image on overall well-being for individuals up to 18 years of age.

Therapies

Chelsea works collaboratively with her clients to explore their therapeutic goals early on in therapy, adopting a client-centered approach to meet the clients’ identified goals and needs. Chelsea’s practice is informed by a range of evidence-based approaches, in particular drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Mindfulness Meditation to achieve positive results for her clients.

 

Chelsea more recently has completed the Family Based Therapy (FBT) Approach for Eating Disorders, as part of becoming a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician.

Personal Interests

Chelsea loves to spend time with her miniature dachshund Murphy and enjoys weekends away down the beach with family and friends. Chelsea is a big foodie and often spends time at markets and local food stores shopping for local treats to make platters.

Chelsea is known to colleagues and clients for her patience and empathy. Chelsea strives to de-stigmatize mental health and to make it a more natural part of everyone’s day to day conversations.
