Positive Wellbeing Psychology offers psychological support for adolescents and adults presenting with a full range of mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, stress, burn-out, relationship difficulties, eating disorders, poor body image, low self-esteem, and sleeping difficulties. The clinic also offers support and tailored management strategies to support adults diagnosed with ADHD. The clients are often referred under Medicare mental health plan, private health insurance and NDIS.
Positive Wellbeing Psychology is on the lookout for psychiatrists to join our team to provide online consultations to clients via telehealth Australia-wide. Our clients will range from 17 years and reside across Australia. In particular, our clients will identify with symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity and/or impulsivity in line with a diagnosis of ADHD.
A suitable candidate will be passionate about helping adults understand their diagnosis and to provide warm and compassionate support during the process of assessment, diagnosis and exploration of pharmacological treatment.
The typical presentation will be adults who believe that ADHD may be causing problems in their studies, work, professional and/or personal lives.
The main focus will be on providing hope to individuals and helping to identify their strengths and difficulties, and to support them in overcoming obstacles.
The suitable candidate will provide assessment and recommendations to our psychologists to help the client to engage with regular psychological intervention to restore balance and achieve their full potential.
Our psychologists are well-trained in a range of therapy approaches, including CBT (including CBT-E for eating disorders), Schema Therapy, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Problem Focused, Psychoanalytical and IPT, and Gottman Method.
