Therapeutic Approach
Mallory believes that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in effective therapy. She is passionate about providing therapy that is flexible and individualised.
Mallory recognises that every person brings a unique story into the therapy room. She believes that understanding ourselves within the context of our relationships, experiences, and environment can create opportunities for self-compassion and meaningful change. Her practice is grounded in trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and LGBTQIA+ inclusive principles, and she tailors therapy to each person’s strengths, values, and lived experience.
Mallory draws upon a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-based Strategies. Mallory has experience in psychological assessment and preparing comprehensive psychological reports including cognitive, ADHD, and autism assessments for adults who seek a greater understanding of their neurotype.
